A Framework for Alternative Drive Control Evaluation
COURSE DESCRIPTION: In this course, we will describe client factors and clinical considerations that impact drive control selection, setup, and use. In addition, differences in proportional and non-proportional drive controls will be discussed and basic parameters will be defined and supported by examples and clinical applications.

Instructor Information | Sarah Lusto, PT, MSPT, ATC, ATP received her BS in sports medicine and MS in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. Prior to joining Permobil she worked at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange, New Jersey for 11 years on both the brain injury and spinal cord injury units where she gained extensive experience in neuro rehabilitation. As a clinical specialist at Kessler, she also served as the wheelchair team lead for the inpatient department and a member of the outpatient wheelchair clinic helping to provide complex seating and mobility and assistive technology solutions across the continuum of care. Sarah joined Permobil in 2021 as a Regional Clinical Education Manager for the Mountain Region. |
